Summer Sup & Kayak
Welcome
This has been run by Mayo native Muirtí Ó Cearnaigh for the past five years.
Situated at Galley Cove in the summer months, stand up paddle boarding lessons are guided by friendly instructors and take place every day when the weather permits.
A 90-minute class is the perfect introduction to paddle boarding for anyone who has no experience. Once this lesson is completed, you can come back and hire on other days.
Kayaking is also offered.

The Most Southernly Pint in Ireland
In the winter, a cosy fire and peaceful atmosphere make it a haven for locals.
Time to get on a SUP!
We have the most beautiful beaches filled with coves, cliffs and caves just waiting to be explored. We are open from between the months of May to September (from sunrise to sunset) and outside of these times for school tours and private bookings (by appointment). We love what we do and with over 25 years of experience we want to show you two of the most beautiful places to visit in Ireland.
All our staff are highly qualified beach lifeguards who are trained in first aid, Life-support and AED by Atlantic Coast Lifeguards.
We take safety seriously, and on each lesson we teach you how to understand the wind and tide so that when you are in the water – and not with us – you are still safe! We also teach lifesaving to our summer camps!
We are an accredited Academy of Surfing International Summer Stand Up Paddle Boarding school, which means we follow very strict criteria for our staffing and training of stand up paddle boarding. The ASI are an international stand up paddle boarding coaching organisation and have schools all over Europe/America and the southern hemisphere with their main base on Bondi Beach! We follow their guidelines in the way we teach stand up paddle boarding and find that the structure is perfect for learning.
At Summer Stand Up Paddle Boarding & Kayak, we offer you the opportunity to explore, experience and learn new and wonderful activities on the Wild Atlantic way. We have daily sessions at 9am/11am/1pm/3pm/5pm – however we encourage you to contact us so we can advise you what the best session will be based on that days weather. From years of experience we can read the weather for 3-5 days in advance and don’t take bookings prior to this because we want you to have the best possible experience on the water.
